JL-217 NEMA Interface Twist Lock Type Overview:
The JL-217 series of photocontrols is ideal for automatically managing the lighting of streets, gardens, corridors, and doorways, syncing with the surrounding natural light levels, and is particularly suitable in areas where enhanced lightning protection is necessary. These devices are engineered with microprocessor circuits that include an IR-filtered phototransistor, and they come equipped with a surge arrester (MOV) for added safety. They also feature a pre-set time delay of 5-20 seconds for shutdown to prevent false triggering by vehicle headlights or nighttime lightning. The long-life model ensures consistent and dependable performance, with the relay capable of exceeding 10,000 operational cycles. Installing a double-layer protective casing can further extend the service life of the JL-217. The product is fitted with twist-lock terminals that comply with the standards set by ANSI C136.10 and the UL773 specification for plug-in, locking type photocontrols used in area lighting.
